  Urgent one day meeting in Britain ,do you know it was about ?

  yestarday all our elders were invited to a one day meeting urgently .i know they had their elders meeting few months ago .does anyone know what it was about .i heard from the grapevine that among other issues disgussed was a)how to deal with disfellowshipped ones and, b) how to offer councel to fellow elders .any elder attended this meeting in britain please feel free to share some info.

  Chat with an ex-bethelite in good standing

  i had the following conversation with a brother ex-bethelite ,left in good standing to start a family and currently a po in his congragation .he regularly gives talks in district and circuit assemblies .we go way back so he tollerates my comments but he is a die hard .we had the following conversation recently.

  me:" have you heard about the new light for the fds?

  elder:"...is that something you read in an apostate website?".

  Me:" Have you heard about the new light for the FDS? What to you think?"

  Elder:"...is that something you read in an apostate website?"

  Me:" No, it is on jw.org the new light about the FDS that came out in their last annual meeting that the FDS are now only the 9 brothers in the Head Quarters "

  Elder:"...not only that ,they are the FDS only when the get together as a committee .Do be frank with you I agree with this .There are so many new partakers of the emblems (anointed ) that send letters out to the headquarters telling them about doctrines and policies they don't agree with .They need to bring them down a peg or too."

  Me:"Isn't that wrong? If you had a government of 12000 members and 9 decided one day to takr over without consulting the rest or receiving a mandate ,what would you call that ? A coup d'état "

  Elder:"Let me ask you .Did the 12000 ever had a saying in the decision making of the organisation ?What is your problem now?"

  Me:"...and that makes alright ? Do you know why they came up with this new doctrine ?"

  Elder:" ...you told me before I think ,it was because of this pedophilia case in Australia ,they want to escape the blame so they have to say that they are a theological arrangement .So what ? They do everything they can to protect the organisation .If they have to hide they have to hide"

  Me:" Since when court cases dectate doctrine? Did Paul or Jesus hide to avoid responsibility for their claims? I told you before to have your eyes open .The antichrist is the one that puts himself above Christ and make himself a god..."

  Elder :" ...that is to deep I can't accept that (put the phone down)"

  the jw.org is always going on about how unfair the russian authorities are and how brothers and sisters in russia for this reason are persecuted .but , it could be that the russians don't like the watchtower because the don't like ngo's .the watchtower has maintained it's status as ngo in europe and the russians don't like ngo's as they see them as foreign agents .the following is an extract from the recent news there :".

  moscow, january 16 (ria novosti) - russian justice minister alexander konovalov said on wednesday that only one non-governmental organization in russia has so far registered as a foreign agent under a recently introduced law on ngos.. russia's controversial new law, obligating non-governmental organizations financed from abroad and involved in political activity to register as "foreign agents," came into force last november.

  the first organization to register under the new law last december was the "shchit i mech" (shield and sword) human rights group from the chuvashia republic.. "as for requests, i have no other information besides the only association from chuvashia, about which you already know," konovalov told a session of the state duma, the lower house of the russian parliament.. the minister added that russian ngos are currently in a stage of "adjustment" to the norms of the new law, which should gradually become part of routine judicial practice.. alexei glukhov, the head of "shchit i mech," said earlier his organization decided to register under the new legislation to find out how the new law works from the inside.. the new legislation also requires ngos to publish a biannual report on their activities and carry out an annual financial audit.. failure to comply with the law could result in fines of up to 500,000 rubles ($15,900).. kremlin officials have repeatedly claimed that washington is using ngos in russia as a cover to bring about political change.

  so after i stepped down and began to be the cynical young angry ex-elder in the hall a few brothers decided to have a surprise shepherding call.. they asked me what had me down, i said nothing.

  i am actually very happy right now.

  then one brother says, "i think you are forgetting what makes us so special in the first place... we obey god as ruler... rather then men.

  last thursday i was propmpted by a recent thread to read the daily text (feb 28, 2013).

  i then had the audacity to send a text message to all four jw's nephews/nieces (in their mid 20's).

  i offered my opinion by summarizing it "put and shut up".

  Most young JWs are attracted from the wide social circle that a JW community can offer ,they don't understand many of the issues as they are well hidden.A safe amount of religiosity will hide them from their eyes for many years to come .It is only after they settle down have families that they might start questioning .Your text will be ignored by the conscious but will be engraved in the unconscious as a splinter ready to cause awakening at the right time under the right conditions

  My Bible Highlights Comment last night

  last night i gave a comment at the bible highlights, i never comment anymore unless i can say something that might plant a small seed in someones mind.. anyways the bible reading was mark 5-8. my comment was, "i appreciated mark 7:6-8 where it reads he said to them: isiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites for it is written, this people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far removed from me.

  it is in vain they keep worshiping me, because they teach as doctrines, commands of men.

  letting go the command of god, you hold fast the traditions of men.

  You can help your congragation in many ways .I try all the following and work a treat :

  1. I never mention the phrase "faithful and discreet slave " or pray for them
  2. All my talks and highlights have only one objective :Tell the cong to think for themselves and accept only the Bible as the only authority .I use old Watchtowers so if I get asked I'm covered
  3. I'm bombading them with flyers in their cars ,houses concerning the main problems the JW's are faced today :united nations fiasco ,baptismal vows, Christ is not your mediator etc.
  4. I run my meetup made up of ex jws and christians and ,the group is growing every month

  What if you simply IGNORED being disfellowshipped and continued as before?

  i know this is an odd idea.

  maybe it is even silly.. but, i do daydream..... .

  what if you were informed that you are disfellowshipped and you flashed a huge smile and said, "nah.".

  My wife just told me to move out...

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  I'm so sorry you have to go through this ,I had to work slowly with my wife .Too much too soon is dangerous for people who have been indoctrinated for years .It takes time .As everyone else said ,stick to your guns ,don't move out ,ask legal advice and stop talking to her about religion .Only time will tell but I hope everything works out for you .All my love and thoughts goes out to you ,I will pray fro you brother ,have courtage
